PETA Deutschland e.V.

PETAKids is the children's and youth education department of the animal rights organization PETA Germany, which campaigns for the rights of all animals. With teaching materials, workshops, child-friendly information, and accompanying materials for teachers and educators, PETAKids brings mindfulness and compassion for all living beings into educational work. A wide range of offerings on animal welfare issues, animal rights, and animal ethics support you in strengthening children's and young people's awareness of treating all living beings with respect, naturally in line with the Beutelsbach Consensus. PETAKids helps encourage young people to critically question society's treatment of other living beings and to learn about the connections between animal rights and their own actions.

Our treatment of other living beings is of great socio-political relevance. As part of a democratic system, future generations should learn that they can initiate change. They have a major influence on the respectful and mindful treatment of our environment and, above all, our fellow creatures. Encourage reflection and strengthen the self-efficacy of children and young people in our society.

The socio-educational PETAKids campaign is aimed at educators in schools, daycare centers, and extracurricular settings. PETAKids offers:

- The child-friendly website PETAKids.de with information on animal welfare topics

- Free teaching materials for all age groups

- Accompanying materials on animal ethics topics for educators and teachers

- Workshops at schools and in extracurricular education on animal ethics topics (analog and digital)

- Digital training opportunities for educators

- Interactive content on the game-based learning platform Kahoot!

We provide advice and support to stakeholders in the education sector and young people who are committed to animal welfare.
