What do the UiW folders contain?
The folders are designed to help teachers easily implement their lessons in the forest and give students the opportunity to gain experiences in the forest that will have a lasting positive impact on them physically, mentally, and cognitively. One folder contains the lesson plans for grades 1 and 2, another folder contains the lesson plans for grades 3 and 4. The third folder contains picture cards as accompanying material for the lessons. The subjects covered are German, mathematics, general studies, crafts and design, art, music, sports, and English, as well as some interdisciplinary units—a total of over 100 teaching units. Each lesson unit is divided into introduction, development, and consolidation. At least two suggestions are always offered for each section. In addition, there is a detailed list of activities and games, in which all activities that occur in the lesson units are clearly listed.
