Conflict Simulation Game

The Conflict Simulation Game (KPS) is an interactive, role-based, one-day simulation that teaches aspects of international foreign and security policy. Based on the scenario of the rise of the so-called “Islamic State” in Syria and Iraq, the KPS shows participants how complex and diverse the path from crisis analysis to conflict resolution at the international level is. At the same time, it fosters understanding of security policy. In the simulation, the key actors in the conflict are represented by participants. They take on the roles of heads of government and ministers, and, with mediation by the United Nations, attempt to reach a conflict resolution.
