The event

Handwriting plays a central role in sustainable learning processes – even in the digital age. In this presentation, we will show how proven learning methods can be meaningfully combined with modern technology. Using concrete examples from vocabulary training and early writing instruction, we demonstrate how traditional handwriting can be complemented by digital systems without disrupting the learning process. The presentation introduces different learning approaches: starting with learning to write using a playful learning and practice app, continuing with the assessment of writing motor skills, and extending to handwriting-based vocabulary training. This session is aimed at teachers, educational designers, and anyone interested in education who would like to understand how handwriting, digital learning systems, and AI-supported analysis can work together – and how this combination can enhance motivation, enjoyment of learning, and overall learning success.
