Who We Are

The Bundesverband Innovative Bildungsprogramme e.V. (BIB) is a network of non-profit education organizations in Germany. More than 50 members support thousands of children, young people, and education professionals every day—especially where the public education system reaches its limits. Through our collective impact approach, we pool resources, share knowledge, and ensure that the innovative learning formats and approaches of our members truly make their way into schools.

Our Fields of Action

New Roles and Qualifications for School Staff
In a dynamic education landscape, new approaches to the roles and competencies of educators are needed. We advocate for multi-professional teams that, alongside teachers, include coaches, social workers, and other experts. Through targeted training and professional development, we support school staff in implementing innovative pedagogical concepts and responding to the individual needs of students.

Structural Autonomy for Schools
Schools need greater autonomy to respond flexibly and independently to current challenges. We call for expanded decision-making powers in the areas of human resources, budget management, and the design of learning formats. These freedoms enable schools to develop tailored solutions that are optimally aligned with the needs of their students.

New Learning, Future Skills & Impact Measurement
At the heart of our work is the promotion of future skills - competencies that are crucial for the years ahead. We support learning methods that strengthen critical thinking, creativity, digital literacy, and social skills. At the same time, we rely on data-driven evaluation methods to measure the impact of education programs and continuously improve them.
