Deutsche Messe in Hanover has been an established organizer in the global trade fair industry since 1947. As the world's leading organizer of capital goods trade fairs in Germany and abroad and with a turnover of 304 million euros in 2024, it is one of the five largest German trade fair companies. The company's own event portfolio includes leading international trade fairs such as (in alphabetical order) DOMOTEX (Flooring und Interior Finishing), HANNOVER MESSE (industrial technologies), INTERSCHUTZ (fire, rescue, civil protection and safety) and LIGNA (tools, machinery and equipment for woodworking and wood processing). Deutsche Messe also organizes other trade fairs at other locations in Germany, such as parts2clean (parts cleaning) and SurfaceTechnology (surface technology). In addition, the exhibition center regularly hosts guest events that are leading trade fairs in their respective sectors: AGRITECHNICA (DLG; agricultural technology) and EuroTier (DLG; livestock farming), EMO (VDW; machine tools), EuroBLECH (RX; sheet metal working) and IAA Transportation (VDA; transport, logistics, mobility). In the B2C sector, Deutsche Messe organizes infa, ABF, B.I.G. and Passion Pferd (former Pferd & Jagd) and is developing new brands such as Real Estate Arena and Pro Care.

Deutsche Messe's portfolio also includes events in Australia, Canada, China, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates. These include trade fairs from the Automotive, ICT & Digital Business, Manufacturing & Processing Industries, Energy & Logistics and Metal Processing sectors. With around 900 employees around the world and 51 representative offices, subsidiaries and branch offices in around 90 countries.
