The Youth Red Cross (JRK) is the independent youth association of the German Red Cross. Around 160,000 young members aged between 6 and 27 are involved in the JRK, working to promote health, the environment, peace, and international understanding. As part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, we represent humanitarian values such as tolerance, openness, and understanding. The Youth Red Cross is a reliable partner for schools. Around 45,000 young people are currently involved in school first-aid services throughout Germany. Key topics such as conflict resolution, first aid in primary schools, sex education, and humanitarian education are based on the principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement. The content relates directly to the lives of young people and awakens their interest in social engagement.
