KOMEZ Köln – the municipal media centre of the city of Cologne – aims to promote media literacy in Cologne's schools. At KOMEZ Köln, teachers and educational professionals, as well as pupils from Cologne's schools, can experience various activities of digital education. KOMEZ Köln's service portfolio, which is offered free of charge to all Cologne schools, is divided into three fields of action:

- Events on the topic of media literacy for teachers, educational professionals and pupils
- Media rental
- Projects with schools to promote media literacy

Cooperation and networks
In order to create a wide range of offerings for all Cologne schools, KOMEZ Köln cooperates with various municipal and non-municipal partners.

KOMEZ Köln is establishing new networks for Cologne's school landscape and stakeholders in the field of media literacy promotion.

Premises and equipment
Around 300 square metres of space in the new premises in Cologne-Mülheim enable multiple offerings and invite participants to try out and create a variety of media.
