didacta 2026: No political parties as exhibitors
Sustainable social and economic development requires good education. According to Koelnmesse and the didacta association, the basis for good education is openness, diversity, tolerance, a pluralistic school and education system and a humanistic attitude.
As the leading trade fair and platform for the exchange of ideas on education, didacta brings together a wide range of perspectives. It is our aim to facilitate an education policy discourse characterized by plurality within the framework of the event. At the same time, it is part of our responsibility to maintain boundaries in order to preserve a democratic education system.
Following the intensive discussion about the first-time participation of political parties in Stuttgart, we have further developed the conditions of participation together with the Didacta Association, the conceptual sponsor of didacta. In future, political parties will be excluded from didacta as exhibitors.
Regardless of this, dialogue with politicians and administrators about the necessary framework conditions for good education remains a central concern of the event - without providing a stage for anti-democratic or extremist organizations and their representatives. We therefore carefully review all registrations for didacta 2026. If a political party submits an application, it will be rejected.
