The importance of listening
To listen attentively, as the very first and important step into real understanding, is a worthy competence in literacy. It is extremely important to hear, realize and distinguish between meaning and overtones and to differentiate allusions from connotations. Furthermore, listening is attention and care. Thus, Ohrenspitzer methods are a cornucopia of possibilities and ideas to enable kids to develop a good hearing. And through the active creation of own audios, by inventing own little storyboards to create an audio production, even small kids can realize how important the conscious use of background sounds and audio atmosphere is to create a meaning.
