FLIMMO is a parents guide for TV, streaming, YouTube/TikTok/Instagram &
cinema. FLIMMO supports parents in keeping track of the abundance of
content and making selections that are age-appropriate. The traffic light
shows at a glance what is suitable for children or not - and if so, at what age.
Pedagogical assessments clarify what children like about films or series,
what might be problematic and what parents should pay particular attention
to. The guide also addresses questions about media education in families
and helps parents with information and practical tips. The publisher is the
non-profit organization Programmberatung für Eltern e.V. Members include
state media authorities (Landesmedienanstalten) and other partners. The
content is created by the JFF – Institut für Medienpädagogik.
